Style

According to my creed, the spectacle must be created in front of the camera. I work with props, lighting techniques, preparation, makeup, and filtering. I believe that digital post-processing is an integral part of photography, so what cannot be achieved with light/props/illusion can be addressed through digital post-processing. When it comes to advertising photography or my artistic concepts, colors and the texture of materials play a significant role in the images. I work with saturated, attention-grabbing colors. In black and white, a contrasty image crowned with millions of shades of gray (containing hard black and white) suits my style. My darkroom technique also adapts to the style, so I use Tetenal chemicals for clean and razor-sharp work with saturated colors, and for black and white, I use Kodak and Ilford developers, specially additive.

In addition to my work, my own artistic activity plays a very important role for me. I mainly create my artistic works in large (4×5” and 8×10”) and medium format (6x6cm and 6×4.5cm), but I also love small film especially with special cinema emulsions (Kodak XX 5222, self-loaded), using analog photographic materials. I develop and enlarge my materials in my own photo lab, thus controlling the artistic process throughout. Reflections and the forms of locations play a prominent role in my creations, shaping my visual representation with the effect of images within images and the appearance of light and shadow.

My works are mainly limited to advertising photography, within which still life and industrial vignettes play the main role.
